Glen Johnson

Glen Johnson is a New Zealand journalist who worked as a foreign correspondent for 11 years, predominantly out of the Middle East and North Africa.

His work appeared in The Chicago Tribune, The Los Angeles Times, The New York Times, Rolling Stone, The Seattle Times, Vice, The Daily Telegraph, The Guardian, Reuters, Le Monde Diplomatique, Balkan Insight, Al Jazeera and The New Zealand Herald, among others.

Twice shortlisted for The Kurt Schork Awards for Excellence in International Reporting, he has written documentary television series, created advertising content and has covered local, national and international news.

Presently in New Zealand, he has reported from: Egypt, Iraq, Israel-Palestine, Lebanon, Libya, Syria, Turkey, Yemen, Djibouti, Kenya, Somalia, Sudan, Armenia, Georgia, Hungary, Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia and Ukraine.
