Glen Johnson

Glen Johnson is a New Zealand journalist who has worked as a foreign correspondent for the past 11 years, predominantly out of the Middle East and North Africa.

His work has appeared in The Chicago Tribune, The Los Angeles Times, The New York Times, Rolling Stone, The Seattle Times, Vice, The Daily Telegraph, The Guardian, Reuters, Le Monde Diplomatique, Balkan Insight, Al Jazeera and The New Zealand Herald, among others.

Twice shortlisted for The Kurt Schork Awards for Excellence in International Reporting, he has written documentary television shows, created content for advertising companies and has covered local, national and international news.

Presently based in Eastern Europe, he has reported from: Egypt, Iraq, Israel-Palestine, Lebanon, Libya, Syria, Turkey, Yemen, Djibouti, Kenya, Somalia, Sudan, Armenia, Georgia, Hungary, Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia and Ukraine.
